transitions.

Bak2skool again, for the last time! New room made all spiffy with lots of parental help:

Yes, that’s a burger on my floor! A BURGER PILLOW to be exact, cleverly sewn by my crafty mom. All materials recycled from old clothing so it didn’t cost a cent :D Very impressive, no? A close up:

(I’m sure pink tomatoes do exist in real life, not just my mother’s imagination :P)

Starting to live like an adult and learning to enjoy fine food and drink. Value wine - Pinot grigio and white wine of some sort - + sparkling cider and asiago cheese. Recently acquired Vinturi aerator in the background!

Feels like fall already - time for delicious seasonal drinks like soothing green tea with cinnamon and honey (which I enjoy year round but is particularly appropriate for fall, I think). Love my nifty tea leaf holder/stirrer thingy from Crate and Barrel :D

Easy to care for greenery to add some color and life! Scotch moss and lightbulb terrariums with ivy growing inside, snipped from my hanging ivy plant (see above picture of room, lightbulb terrarium tutorial here).

Close ups:

(The weird red things are tiny glass chilli peppers from a random keychain I had lying around. I thought they were really cute and colorful, complementing the ivy and pebbles)

Deliciously spicy back to school meal at Thailand Cafe with friends:

Although the menu is now mostly Sichuan, the place apparently used to serve Thai food, hence the name. I’m not a huge Thai fan but love Sichuan food, like the awesome chicken dish above. Since Sichuan cuisine is relatively rare around here, and this place is actually really good, I think a name change is in order to create a more authentic image and attract more customers! I never would have guessed to try it without Kevin and Fuyuo’s recommendation, and I’m sure there are tons of other people out there who are craving good Sichuan or would be interested in trying it for the first time but just don’t know it’s available at Thailand Cafe :)
